Stouffville

Stouffville's official name is Whitchurch-Stouffville but nobody calls it that. The town grew up around Main Street, which still anchors the community. The Stouffville GO station on Leslie Street connects directly to Union Station and sits a 13-minute walk from the historic downtown core. Stouffville Memorial Park hosts the annual Strawberry Festival, one of the largest community events in York Region. Byer's Pond Park offers trails and green space within walking distance of the downtown. The Rouge National Urban Park borders the town's southern edge. Stouffville has been one of the fastest growing communities in York Region for two consecutive decades. The population has more than doubled since 2001.

That growth has created a market with tension. New subdivisions north and east of the downtown attract families who want the GO train connection but cannot afford Markham or Richmond Hill. Days on market of 56 is the longest in central York Region, which means buyers have more time to be deliberate here. Sellers who price correctly move properties.
